Speed, Service, Solutions…Beyond Measure®

Standard-Duty, Threaded Thermowells are available in a variety of materials, process connection sizes, lengths, and optional lagging extensions. Thermowell specifications should be determined based on process conditions, which include strength, temperature, pressure and corrosion resistance requirements. The stepped construction is used in standard duty applications and increases the speed of response while maintaining mechanical strength. They are designed with standard 0.260” bore diameters to accommodate sensing elements with a 0.252” maximum diameter. These wells are available as separate components or as part of complete sensor assemblies.

Compound Mixer Temperature Sensors

COMPATIBLE, RELIABLE, DURABLE

Developing new compound mixing equipment or maintaining existing mixers requires the installation of sensors that will reliably provide temperature measurements of the process. These temperature sensors must be able to stand up to the physical abuse of the rapidly-moving solid materials, as well as the abrasive and corrosive characteristics of the compound being mixed. Pyromation has been building sensors for this very purpose for over 20 years.

From miniature temperature sensors for wind turbine bearings to durable thermocouples for boiler and piping systems, they make sensors for almost any power application. Specific sensor assemblies include thermowells and are fitted with transmitters when remote readings are required. Acutely accurate RTD sensors are available for precision applications. Thermocouples are available to monitor engine temperature in construction vehicles and equipment.
  • Food and Beverage – Pyromation produces a number of temperature sensors for the food, beverage and dairy industries. Many of these sensors are sanitary CIP (Clean In Place) for convenient washdowns and are 3-A approved. Some of these sensors meet the stringent High Temperature, Short Test (HTST) requirements for pasteurization. They also produce a line of sensors that flush-mount with the interior wall of a storage tank, measuring the temperature of the material without penetrating the inside of the vessel. There are a variety of sensor sizes and clamp, gasket, bevel-seat or adaptor fittings to meet different applications. Quick response RTDs are available as well as thermowell assemblies. Transmitters are built into RTD assemblies for specific applications. Penetration style RTDs and thermocouples are available for use in fresh and frozen meat, fish, poultry, dough and other food products.
  • Heat Treating – In the heat treating industry, companies turn to Pyromation for their temperature sensor assemblies. Pyromation offers thermocouples that meet furnace certifications, as well as Magnesium Oxide (MgO) thermocouples that can be formed to fit almost any application.
